Forget Moving to Canada...I'm headed to Nebraska...

Fri Dec 21, 2007 at 09:12:33 AM PDT

So, let's just say things don't go so well in November for our side.

Who really thinks they can honestly live under eight more years of a repressive regime that arbitrarily violates and ignores international global climate treates, engages in illegal rendition and torture, wiretapping and spying on it's own citizens, continues to illegally occupy a foreign sovereign nation and to date, has now spent over half a trillion dollars on said occupation?

If, God forbid, we lose the White House in November 2008, where you gonna go, seriously? Just as we require student and work visas for foreign nationals, so do other countries and these are not easily obtained, unless you have a special skill set that is needed. Picking up and moving to France isn't quite as simple as it sounds.

Fortunately, there appears to be hope on the horizon and you won't even need a passport to get there.

My Unique, Brilliant Take on Clinton/Obama Spat

Fri Jul 27, 2007 at 11:13:10 AM PDT

And here it is...who fucking cares?

No, really, who?

Wait, wait, you do. That's why you're here. That's why you have joined this brilliant discussion, so that your unique perspective, so individual and different from all the rest, can find a home with like-minded, unique individuals.

Consider this the diary, to end all other diaries, on the terribly important, life-threatening, awe inspiring subject of Obama and Clinton taking a couple of jabs at each other in Round Two.

CO CD4 Religious Homeschooling Teens Arm Themselves for Musgrave

Thu Nov 02, 2006 at 11:04:36 AM PDT

If I hadn't taken a look at this myself, I'd swear what I'm about to tell you is a tinfoil hat moment. How I wish it were.

Tomorrow, Colorado CD4 becomes the not so proud recipient of the Generation Joshua entourage, an off-shoot of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA). They are here to canvas for God (err, I mean, Representative Marilyn Musgrave).

Generation Joshua has put out the call and their agenda is clear, as noted in Colorado Confidential's report,

"Election Day is one week away and Generation Joshua Student Action Teams are prepared to elect pro-life and pro-homeschooling candidates.  Our efforts could make the difference on Election Day and help shape the future of this country. Over 1,000 GenJ members will be in the field, divided into 12 teams ranging from 50 to over 100. This type of focused effort has been proven time and time again to tip the scales in close elections."

More below the fold.

CO CD 4: Musgrave's Merry Band of Stealthy Supremacists...and other great highlights

Tue Sep 19, 2006 at 07:33:08 AM PDT

Here in Colorado, we've got our own nasty little version of Senator George Allen...none other than the infamous Marilyn Musgrave, who has a penchant for worrying about what gay folks are up to while she continues to reap the benefits of her endorsement by the KKK. More on that below the fold.

In her spare time, when Musgrave isn't diagnosing coma victims, she takes time out of her busy schedule to make sure we get some legislation passed that ensures the year 2007 will be named The Year of the Bible.

And then we get to the 3rd "G". Marilyn believes it's a huge waste of time and money to install a mandatory trigger lock on guns. Who cares if "unintentional shootings cause 20 percent of all firearm-related deaths among children ages 14 and under." The cost is just so damned prohibitive (about twelve bucks) and hey, the children can fend for themselves once they're out of the womb.

Tom Tancredo and Hate Groups--2 Peas in a Donation Pod

Hat tip to TakeBacktheHouse at Square State and Erin Rosa, who explores the connection at Colorado Confidential.

Since 2000, Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo has happily continued to accept campaign contributions from John Tanton, from Petoskey, MI. And just who is Tanton? He's the publisher of the "Social Contract Press", whose editor is none other than Wayne Lutton. Lutton has come under the scrutiny of the Center for New Community, a civil rights watchdog group, for his open ties to the white nationalist movement.

Tanton has plenty of connections to Colorado. In addition to contributing to Tancredo, Tanton's organization, U.S. Inc., has been filling the coffers of the anti-immigration movement in Colorado, better known as Defend Colorado Now. Defend Colorado Now is the organization that recently attempted to add a ballot initiative to Colorado's elections in November to cut off illegal immigrants from all non-emergency taxpayer-funded public services.

Michael Schiavo and Marilyn Musgrave--It's Her Day of Reckoning

Tue Jul 11, 2006 at 07:57:03 PM PDT

My Dad had been saying for months that he didn't want to live "this way" anymore. He was tired, in pain, miserable and did not have the strength to walk up the three steps of our farmhouse.

I remember last year when he was starting to get really sick, about the same time Congress decided to step in and take away Michael Schiavo's right to decide what was best for his wife. I remember my dad being terrified someone would try to interfere with what he wanted--keep him alive when he wasn't really living anymore. I think that's when he signed a Living Will.

Four weeks ago last Sunday, we let him go--we stopped dialysis, made him comfortable and gave him the only Father's Day gift we could--a peaceful ending to his suffering.

I guess I should be grateful Marilyn Musgrave was busy in DC that day.
