Are Kossacks costing Obama thousands and thousands of votes tonight?
Tue May 06, 2008 at 08:15:04 PM PDT
Guys, listen to the talking heads. Listen to Donna Brazile. Heck, did you see the look on Bill Clinton's face during Hillary's speech? The writing is on the proverbial wall, and this thing is just two weeks away from being over.
In the meantime, can we park the bile? Are we "haters", or are we Party builders?
Look, I care about beating John McCain. I care about growing our Congressional majorities. These things matter to me.
What I don't care about is beating a dead horse.
As you type away, imagine you are a Clinton activist/supporter checking in to see what the other side was saying. How would you feel reading the comments at DailyKos tonight?
SUPERDELEGATE WATCH: CT LIEBERCRAT set to endorse Hillary Clinton?
Wed Apr 30, 2008 at 04:27:21 PM PDT
This isn't a long diary. But someone should be writing about the assinine superdelegates who are voting to basically drag this primary battle out till the late August convention. (when instead they should be voting to end it!)
Since the historic 2006 Lamont victory, I've liked to think that CT Democrats have had our heads screwed on straight and are looking to the future.
Up until now, there has been only one superdelegate to declare for the Clintons, and that was Stamford DNC member Ellen Camhi who did so very early in the process. OTOH, seven superdelegates including almost our entire CT Congressional delegation, have endorsed Obama.(the only exception being Joe Courtney, who sits on the Armed Services committee, where he needs HRC's support in order to get a 2nd submarine/year to be built in New London.)
Well, that was the positive landscape until today, when I heard it from a Hartford reporter that AFL-CIO President, Liebercrat, and former CT State Chair John Olsen is set to endorse Hillary Clinton. Good Grief!
This has since been confirmed by an insider and friend of mine who in fact spoke directly with Olsen several days ago.

Hooded Americans hang Saddam Hussein...
Sat Dec 30, 2006 at 01:20:06 AM PDT
I don't know what I'm doing up this late. Certainly I wish I was peacefully asleep, dreaming about a coming Year 2007 and a 21st Century that we could all feel good about.
Instead, I watch, obsessively, as FoxNews punctuates their coverage with a videotape of Saddam being hung, in the tradition of the American West, via the noose.
If only the Iraq Experiment in democracy were going better, I might rejoice in this demonstration of justice. But what keeps me from prematurely opening the champagne, on ice, is some foreboding that Islamic peoples across the globe won't watch this with the same triumphal glee that right-wing America will inhale.
