I just didn't want to be left out....
Just when you thought Fox "Baby Mama" "Radical Madrassa" and "Terrorist Fist-Jab" News couldn't stoop any lower.
From editor and publisher:
The Fox News channel has gained wide attention today in the blogosphere for airing photos of two New York Times staffers that appear to have been doctored to portray the Timesmen in an unflattering light.
The photos depict New York Times reporter Jacques Steinberg with yellowed teeth, "his nose and chin widened, and his ears made to protrude further," according to a statement today by Media Matters for America
Go on -- try to find him: www.gop.org
He's nowhere.
Of course, Barack Obama is EVERYWHERE. No less than 7 pictures on the front page alone. Every story is on Obama, every headline is Obama, there is countdown clocks on Obama, there is "meet Barack Obama"--my God, it's like someone stumbled on the Democratic site.
Now compare:
Somehow or another I got on johnmccain's email list. As a regular visitor to this site, it is very interesting to see how they spin their recent string of disasters.
The latest email made me smile--and I thought you would enjoy it. It's called "McCain Cribs: Straight Talk Express". The video is shot similar to how MTV shoots their popular series "Cribs"--and it gives you an inside look at the STE. The email promises you can even get a look inside the refrigerator!! (It's soda-"No booze this time!"). Party animals.
If EVER there was a more pathetic attempt to make McCain hot, fly, and edgy ("Take that Hollywood!"), this is it. I warned you:
If you a Democrat in Florida, you need to make sure this video gets seen. McCain already had a lot to answer for in last week's visit concerning his opposition to Everglades restoration, but that is nothing compared to his dismal record on helping hurricane victims. He even bragged about disregarding Floridians who needed help after the devastating hurricanes:
The blogosphere is lit up with people speculating who Barack's veep will be. I previously predicted that if Hillary was to win, she would pick Ohio governor Ted Strickland would be her Veep choice. I guess we will never know since a Hillary win seems less likely every day. The momentum is certainly on Obama's side, so let's speculate for him.
I have been purusing the blogosphere seeing what people are saying. Below is my list of top ten likely candidates--some you may have seen, others you may not have. Read through and then give me your ideas.
Shall we?
McCain is featured on Redstate giving the speech of is life: All things great by 2013:
Yup, everything will be great. Just 5 more years. Now where have we heard this before...
I was flipping through the channels to catch the news of who won Indiana. I saw a scroll on the results and decided to stop--unfortunately, it was Fox News.
The county I live in here in Central Florida is funny (Seminole County). So funny that every now and again I share a local story that I report on in my blog here on DailyKos. This is one such time...
WFTV in Orlando reported on the scandal:
Nothing like reading the REC list to find all diaries bashing Clinton. That's great. But you Obama-mites might want to rethink your game. CLINTON IS FINISHED! There is no way she can win the superdelegates, popular vote, delegate count, etc. The only thing served by this continuous bashing is that you are alienating much-needed Clinton-supporters for the general election.
And you are also allowing John McCAin to get away with this...
Here in Seminole County, Florida, we are honored to be represented by a man ranked by a nonpartisan watchdog group as the most corrupt Congressman for a third straight year.
Besides being Jack Abramoff's bitch, Feeney is also an avid champion of our fighting men and women in Iraq. No, he doesn't want to the troops to come home. And he has a habit of voting against body armor and essential equipment for our troops.
But he is nonetheless a champion. Why? Because he is outraged that a city 2,000 miles away from us voted to close their recruiter's station. Feeney was so angry, in fact, that he spend thousands of TAXPAYER dollars to tell us how angry he is and of his solution: withhold federal money, including funds for the lunch program in their public schools. (Suck on THAT Berkeley!)
One local reporter questioned if the mailor was a good use of public funds. Feeney's response was unbelievable:
Hat tip to my friend Ismay, who wrote a diary last month asking DKos members for ideas for bumper stickers for McNuts. He said I could post the results if I felt like collecting them. (Man, I've got to get out more. But then again, what are YOU doing here on a Friday night?)
Let's hope to see some of these catch phrases on the back of our vehicles or repeated on TV. (Or, dare I dream, our sig lines.)
This started with a conversation I had with a GOP co-worker who only gets her news from FOX. Now, far be it from me to tell folks who vist this website that Fox News is (gasp!) not "fair and balanced". But this takes the cake.
Last Thursday, March 27, the top news of the day was the break of the cease fire and the extreme violence that occured in the Green Zone. (Inconsiderate insurgents---ruined Bush's and McSame's speeches today on how great the surge was working). But those who get their news from FOX didn't know anything about it. My co-worker was trying to convince me that the surge had worked and the violence had ended.
I said "don't you watch the NEWS???" She doesn't. She watches Fox.
So I went online in the evening to check out what I found. I went to legitimate news orgs. websites, and then I went to FOX. Unbelievable what I saw. Let me show you.
I know, he has great skin. But that's not what this is about: A lot of people are floating governor Crist as a name McCain may wish to consider for veep. McInsane may not know the difference between Al Qaeda and Iran, but even he should know what's wrong with this picture.
Let's play a game. Who is the most qualified to head up the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC), the most important job concerning our public employee's labor relations and union issues, (for which we are facing serious challenges right now), which requires a thorough understanding of labor law and unions.
Here are the candidates. Keep in mind they are all vying to replace an attorney who held this post for 33 years and has extensive experience in this area. GO pick one and see if you come up with the same decision as Crist:
5 Year Anniversary of what Donald Rumsfeld said would last "6 days" or "6 weeks"--but he really doubted "6 months".
And we are told to rejoice because the "surge is working".
Stop and think for a moment.
From the Orlando Sentinel today:
I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could even consider [Barack Obama] presidential material at this early stage of his life and experience. God help us all.
Are some people so brainwashed that they forget that months after Hillary Clinton denied knowledge of their whereabouts, the Rose Law firm legal records that were the subject of a grand-jury investigation suddenly appeared in the WH living quarters?
When it suits you to twist facts.. I have a real problem with that. [Electing Obama] would be like electing another george bush.
You would think that after "Bathroom Bob" Allen, the Grand old Party wouldn't try to put up another embarrassing candidate. For those who don't remember, Bob Allen, the high moral "family values" candidate for the GOP, was arrested and resigned for trying to buy sex in a public bathroom. His defense was that he so terrified of the big "black guy", he figured his only option was to go up to him and offer money to suck ****.
After that embarrassing incident, you would think that the GOP would put more thought into who would run in this district. But just like an established writer that gets lazy and will put out any piece of crap because he knows his fan base will buy it, they are banking on the GOP majority to take what they are given.
I was more certain, until recently, who the veep would be than the presidential nominee for the Republicans. I had correctly predicted that the GOP nominee would be McCain in March 2007 when McCain was a joke (see this diary) because he was the establishment candidate and it was his turn. Assuming it would be McCain, (or if I was wrong, 9ui11iani), I predicted last November that the veep would have to be HUCKABEE. Both men needed a likable but solid conservative on the ticket, the reasoning went. After Iowa, it seemed like a sure bet. McCain/Huckabee.
But I was wrong.
