The Field has the numbers.
A new poll published by the daily El Vocero in Puerto Rico, which holds its primary on Sunday, is out. For those that can’t read Spanish, here is the result:
Clinton: 51 percent
Obama: 38 percent
Field Analysis:
If Obama maintains that floor of 38 percent, he’ll get at least 24 of the 55 pledged delegates out of the island, which is more than sufficient to keep him on target for clinching the nomination next week.
Also of interest: A full fifty percent of those surveyed have no intent to vote in Sunday’s primary, hinting that it could be a low-turnout event. (If those that did answer the poll that say they are undecided don’t vote, the final percentage would be Clinton 57, Obama 43.)
Low turnout obviously keeps Clinton from gaining a huge increase in popular vote. I'm still somewhat confident that Obama can keep the margin here pretty close. I'd guess that best case for him here would be around a 4-7 point loss. Say 53-47 as things stand. Hopefully his ground game, with all of the mayors he has on board, will be good.
