Generational diaries are lame but I feel like poking the hornets nest today.

Generational diaries are lame but I feel like poking the hornets nest today.
With one huge broad brush, a diarist today blamed the entire boomer generation, numbering 76 million (or about a quarter of the American population at present) for all that is wrong with the world and why she could not get ahead. Global warming is all their fault. Wars are all their fault. Corporate greed is all their fault. Republicans are all their fault. It's all their fault!
Or, one could blame those lazy Xers because they're just too cynical to get off their asses and protest in the streets like the Boomers did in the late 1960s.
Or you could blame the overachieving yet lazy slacker but overinvolved and overextended Y'ers (or Millenials or whatever made up name they're calling us these days) for buying into the "Reagan Revolution" of consumption or something. Oh, and they need to be protected because they use the internet as their own personal stage (big freaking whoop!). And their moms and dads helicopter over them (their moms and dads are, incidentially for the most part, Boomers.) and they can't even get jobs without mom and dad around. So at the same time they're both overachieving but inept; slackers yet overextended and involved, grownup but not. Hm. Ha.
Or we can shut the fuck up about the STOOPID that are "generational struggles" and the extremely broad brush and irrelevant arguments they bring, eat some damn pie, and be the change we seek instead of whining about it on a blog.

Eat some freakin' pie!
