Beach Impeach III

Hi all!

Well, I thought this would have been diaried here already. Beach Impeach III was a rousing success. Just shows you what can be done with a little creativity and about a thousand of your closest friends and total strangers. This time Brad Newsham outdid himself. We started with IMPEACH!

Then morphed it into Reason:

 And morphed again into Treason!

Between that, doing "the Wave", and waving at the folks in the choppers (Ours, Reuters (!) and possibly ABC News) a good time was had by all.

I'll follow this up with links to what publicity we received.

UPDATE Sorry, it was pointed out to me that I should have put in more context. Brad Newsham is a San Francisco Cab driver who put together Beach Impeach I and II. Here's the home page to Beach Impeach. Today is Brad's 56th Birthday and this is what he wanted to do.

I first heard about Beach Impeach from a diary here, I'll dig out a link. Basically, Brad's a cabbie with an dream and a credit card. He went through the City paperwork to reserve/rent whatever, space at Chrissy Field which is within sight of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. Add the cost of porta-potties, and a helicopter to fly overhead and take the pictures you saw. And there was a possibility that Reuters and/or our local ABC affiliate took some pics as well. There were three helicopters in the air, but one didn't stick around for very long.

I've never met Brad, just seen him from the base of the letter "E" in the pictures. But to me, he's one of our local heroes. He hopes to break even, through contributions, and Ebay-ing the extra seat on his charter chopper (which was offered to Nancy Pelosi, but she declined!) Any "profit" he makes on the deal, he'll donate to his causes. This guy exemplifies creative, Progressive action.
