we need to write the Obama and Clinton campaigns and tell them to support Senator Dodd and show some of that leadership they're always talking about.

Subject: Retiring.
Dear
No, I'm not retiring from the Senate - I'm working hard as ever, to restore the Constitution, stop that terrible FISA bill and put a Democrat in the White House.
But after our incredible journey campaigning for the Presidency, there is something that does need retiring: our debt.
My internet team tells me the campaign inbox was flooded with messages of thanks and inquiries about how you can continue to help now that the presidential campaign is over.
Today, you can help by contributing financially to our effort to retire the campaign debt.
I've spent the past days with my wife and family, unwinding after a grueling process that changed the debate at home and abroad -- that is our legacy from the campaign.
FEC rules preclude me from using the email list to talk much about the war, the upcoming FISA fight and other issues we championed throughout the campaign, but let me assure you: our work will continue with the same commitment you have come to expect from me.
But today, can you help retire our campaign debt?
Unfortunately, this email list and our campaign website can only exist to help retire the debt, but the good news is that I'll soon have a new site, my internet team has promised to see through what we started last October, and you'll be hearing from us soon about the next steps on FISA.
Thank you, so much, for everything.

When you look at all three candidates and think
"well anything is better than Bush"
I'd agree but we should not settle down one bit when they are elected.
ALL three have taken money from big corporations, Hedge funds etc.
THE CORPORATIONS run America now including the FUCK YOU DENNIS General Electric, war contracting NBC! The only man who would do what all the top three frauds say they'd do is Dennis Kucinich.
If you would like to HEAR what HE would have said if HE wasn't SHUT out of the debates you can go to www.democracynow.com and hear today's show. WHY didn't the top three candidates BOYCOTT NBC for excluding him? I am blown away by the lack of outrage over this. As for Dodd, what else did you expect? Pelosi is another fraud. Looks like the corruption reaches farther than Bush in Washington, you don't have to get caught in a scandal to be corrupt. Bush killed America and the Democrats AIDED him PERIOD. If you think Obama, Hilary or John will STOP the corporate grip on America than you really have to do some serious soul searching

include telecom immunity? It's been a while, but iirc the bill was then passed to Judiciary, who produced a version that did NOT include immunity.
Not that that should deter anyone from haranguing Intel Committee members - it shouldn't. But it might help to give the Judiciary Dems a firm nudge too:

Chris Dodd stood against telecom immunity and stood up for habeas corpus. I watched him speak eloquently and passionately in blistering noon sun in DC this summer. He needs our support and his colleagues need an earful.
What is it with Congress? The members who choose to stand up for us and what is right are ignored or worse by their colleagues. Dodd needs our support in the House and Wexler needs it in the House and Kucinich needs it with the media (used to be fourth estate).
