And we'll have a great one in JRE. Thanks for the post.

to me that "That Guy Edwards is the one who worries us most." Interestingly, they say his "ability to inspire" could make him the person most likely to bring progressive ideals back to the majority. Therefore, they are scared to death of him.
I say: GO JOHN!
by Trial Lawyer Richard on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 12:04:02 PM PDT
Thanks for your support of John.

him like this did Howard Dean. They managed to trash him eary - otherwise this 'effing war would be OVER already!
Oh yeah, the MSM talks about Hillary & Obama. Those are the horses THEY want. They can be exploited & ultimately defeated.
John Edwards can reach across the aisle & enlist Independents AND disenfranchised Republicans. That scares the hell out of them.
We need to keep him in this race. We need to keep Chris Dodd. We need to keep Dennis Kucinich. We need their voices to keep the REAL dialog going.
And then...MAY. THE. BEST. MAN. WIN.
I also believe it's Edwards.

Speaking of New Hampshire, here is one of my New Hampshire videos. This one is from New Market where John spoke on 11/06/07.

I do plan to do some more work in one or more of the early states.
by be inspired on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 11:16:17 AM PDT
I will of course work in SC and I hope to get to others again.
by OneCarolinaGirl on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 11:34:05 AM PDT
Or even close to one. I live in Maryland. It's smack dab in the middle between NH and SC, but not close to either of them. I do get to go to events in DC, like his speech coming up at the DNC meeting on Friday, but I wish the early states were more accessible for me.

I'd love to see a report from there, if you know what I mean.

Definitely. Not live blogging, because I just can't, but I'll be getting video and I'll post a report afterwards.

I'm also a broke-ass student.
(And a busy-ass student.)
I want to step it up though. Any ideas?
It's not a campaign. It's a movement. Will you stand up?

by danthrax on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 09:32:54 AM PDT
You could contact the campaign in one of the early states and offer to call in. One of the staffers in NH told me I could also call in from home. They would probably give you a list and a phone script, I'm guessing. Long distance calls might cost too much, though, unless you have a phone plan that includes unlimited long distance.
Another idea that doesn't cost anything is writing a letter to the editor of your local paper or a national publication.
by be inspired on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 09:38:47 AM PDT
And I wouldn't mind doing a few again. I know I can find the time to knock out 50-100. It would only be my fair share.
I feel like I should focus on Iowa. What do you think?
by danthrax on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 10:13:22 AM PDT
Winning Iowa would give JRE a big bump, I think, so yes, that's a good one to focus on.

Talk to as many people as you can.
I bring up Edwards in casual conversation.
Shopping for instance...
"Excuse me, may I get your opinion? How is this color on me? I am thinking of wearing it while watching John Edwards on CNN later this evening..."

...my Republican uncle doesn't know it yet, but the last monetary gift he sent me is going to finance a trip up to Iowa just before the caucuses. Sucker... LOL
Naw, I love him to death, but it's like we're talking two different languages at times. :)
by machka on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 02:15:33 PM PDT
Unfortunatley, I cannot support him because in politics, cash is king.
He;'s accepting amtching funds which tells me he cannot go the distance.

It's attitudes like that which get us a government which is bought and paid for by lobbyists and doesn't represent "We the People."
by be inspired on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 11:03:29 AM PDT
IF you don;t have the cash to respond effectively after you become the presumptive nominee, you can't go the distance.
That's the reality of presidential politics. I don't like it, but it is what it is and trying to deny it won't make it go away.
by Walt starr on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 06:32:33 PM PDT
He's going to have just as much money as the other campaigns come January, thanks to matching funds, which is why the Obama campaign was crying about it so loudly (through their surrogates on this site like Adam, anyway).
by be inspired on Wed Nov 28, 2007 at 10:30:06 AM PDT
disappointing. Go support the corporate candidates.
We will make real change.
If this $$$ is all you see, I am glad you are not on my side.

BArack Obama or Hillary Clinton.
I would fine either an acceptable candidate and will vote for one of the two come February 5. Not sure which one at this point, though.
by Walt starr on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 06:33:24 PM PDT
Mr. "I like to play nice with Republicans" Obama is NOT a real choice.
by be inspired on Wed Nov 28, 2007 at 10:30:51 AM PDT
Which is the better choice? I thought you'd get it. JRE. Good job.
by OneCarolinaGirl on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 11:16:05 AM PDT
if he becomes the presumptive nominee.
I can't throw my vote away on a dream. I'm being realistic and realistically, only Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can go the distance.
by Walt starr on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 06:34:16 PM PDT
the money - thats all.
The money doesnt' always have to win, if you make a stand!
We the people!
by America08 on Tue Nov 27, 2007 at 07:31:34 PM PDT
That's how it has worked in this country since the days of Andrew Jackson. Until there is meaningful campaign finance reform,. you must have th money to win the office. That's poltical reality.
